Take Care How You Listen

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | September 20, 2021

From today’s reading...

‘So take care how you listen; anyone who has, will be given more; anyone who has not, will be deprived even of what he thinks he has.’” Luke 8:18

We’ve been making our way through Luke 7 and 8 over the last few daily readings, and we see Jesus emphasize the importance of listening and how to produce and receive abundance.

He wants us to live abundantly, which can only be done by letting His light shine through us.

But how do we know what His light is? We must listen so we know how to shine, i.e., how to act.

Yep. Faith without works is dead, you fool (James 2:20). Besides, to grow and yield a harvest that is 100 times more bountiful than what you planted requires work to plant and work to harvest.

So listen up, straighten up, and fly right, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
