The Body Consists of Many Members

From today’s reading...

And indeed the body consists not of one member but of many.” 1 Corinthians 12:14

I have a wife, two sons, five daughters, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and a crazy dog that gets anxious when we leave her, so we have to lock the trashcan, or she’ll pull out the trash bag and destroy my kitchen, living room, and backyard because she’s a freak…but we love her and everyone else in the family, despite how sane or crazy they may be, because family is family and consists of many members.

In fact, that’s what a family is: a group of related people stemming from the same ancestor.

That is what God made: a universal, eternal family.

We—you, me, your ex, your crazy uncle, that jerk from high school, and even Alabama fans—are members of God’s family.

We are members of His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

In the eyes of God, we are all the same: His family.

It’s time we act like it, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
