From today’s reading...
Such a one will receive blessing from Yahweh, saving justice from the God of his salvation.” Psalm 24:5
Such as who?
The previous verse tells us, “The clean of hands and pure of heart, whose heart is not set on vanities, who does not swear an oath in order to deceive.”
Okay, that makes sense, but then we see in today’s Gospel from Luke 5:8 that Simon Peter tells Jesus, “Leave me, Lord; I am a sinful man.”
Did Peter receive blessings from God?
Did Peter receive justice from God?
Was he saved? If he was sinful, how did get God’s blessing and saving justice?
Because he showed us all how to...
