From today’s reading...
When the daughter of this same Herodias came in and danced, she delighted Herod and his guests; so the king said to the girl, ‘Ask me anything you like and I will give it you.’” Mark 6:23
Herod was distracted not once but twice, and it cost John the Baptist his head and probably the soul of Herod, Herodias, her daughter, and many others.
Of course, God always makes good things happen despite the failings of weak men, but why push Him? Why test God?
Surround yourself with people who have your best interests at heart, who help you become more disciplined, who help you...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
