From today’s reading...
After all, Christ sent me not to baptise, but to preach the gospel; and not by means of wisdom of language, wise words which would make the cross of Christ pointless.” 1 Corinthians 1:17
They say people are more afraid of public speaking than of death, which means, if they were at a funeral, they’d rather be in the box than give the eulogy!
How crazy is that?
While that may not be exactly true, it’s true in an illustrative sense.
People are afraid of public speaking.
We think we’ll say something foolish and be mocked and ridiculed, so we clam up, sit down, and die with the music still in us.
Stop thinking of yourself.
Start thinking of that struggling, lost soul that is your neighbor, your coworker, your favorite cousin, your child, your spouse, even a stranger on Twitter, and speak up.
Plant the seed that you have. God will provide the sun and the rain.
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
