Woe To The Corrupt Hypocrites

From today’s reading...

‘Alas for you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look handsome on the outside, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and every kind of corruption.’” Matthew 23:27

Matthew 23 might as well be the “woe to the hypocrites” chapter. Being a sinner, an earnest person who strives but falls short of the glory of God, is one thing. Making a living off of telling everyone else what to do while intentionally doing the opposite is another thing, and it’s not good.

It’s never too late to adjust your sails and make right the path.

Yes, you may lose some status.

Yes, you may lose some income.

Yes, you may lose some sleep.

Yes, you may lose some followers on Instagram.

No, you will not save face—at least in the short term.

But it is how you’ll save your soul, and maybe even inspire others to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
