From today’s reading...
I am coming to gather every nation and every language. They will come to witness my glory.” Isaiah 66:18
Just because God gathers you doesn’t mean you are chosen.
He may gather you just to prove to you had bad you messed up, as we’re reminded in Hebrews 12 today, “for the Lord trains those he loves, and chastises every son he accepts” (v6).
Once He chastises you, He may choose to save you, but it is not guaranteed, and it will not be easy, as Jesus reminds us today in Luke 13, “‘Try your hardest to enter by the narrow door, because, I tell you, many will try to enter and will not succeed’” (v24).
Accept the Lord’s instruction and His discipline, as well as His love.
Pick up your cross and carry it willingly and without complaining, which is what it means to...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
