The First Shall Be Last

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | August 16, 2022

From today’s reading...

‘Many who are first will be last, and the last, first.’” Matthew 19:30

They say by the time a man does what it takes to win the office of the presidency of the United States, he’s not worthy of the position.

The ends do not justify the means.

We hear elected officials called public servants.

We see police cars emblazoned with some version of “To serve and protect.”

We refer to government employees as civil servants.

We hear companies say, “Our employees are our greatest asset.”

When’s the last time you got great service at the DMV?

How has the CDC treated us since March 2021?

How do members of Congress become millionaires after just a few years in office on a salary of under $174,000?

Why does Gavin Newsom get to keep his restaurant open while closing others?

Why does the IRS need 87,000 more armed agents willing to use deadly force?

Why are there speed traps and not slow-drivers-in-the-left-lane traps?

Why do local police need more gear than a Marine regiment?

Why do CEOs make $670 for every $1 of their staff?

We pay a lot of lip service to serving…how’s that serving you?

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
