Find The Rock That Won’t Roll

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | August 12, 2017

From today’s reading...

And blessed be my Rock!”

In business and in life, build on a solid foundation to build anything of lasting value.

Years ago entrepreneurs were bragging about the success of their Facebook Page...until Facebook suddenly made you pay to reach your audience.

Within 90 days thousands of entrepreneurs went out of business.

Right now podcasters are worried that Soundcloud is going out of business and taking their podcasts down with them.

Here in SoCal, how many people lost it all in 2008 thinking real estate was the rock of their financial future?

How many lost it all in 2000 thinking the NASDAQ was the rock of their financial future?

How many marriages end because both spouses are too busy building unstable careers on sand instead of building up one another?

How many lives are lost because once one “has arrived” according to pop culture they look around and ask, full of despair, “is this all there is?” and “is this what I sacrificed so much to gain?”

Donuts can be a fun treat but it can’t be the core of your healthy diet.

Binging on Netflix can be a fun treat but it can’t be the core of building a healthy business.

Being “in the world” is, of course, inescapable but to become a person of character, wisdom, and love you must not be “of the world.”

Build your life on a solid, blessed Rock, and watch how glorious things fall into place.

Your Rock will help you...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
