Woe Is Me! I Am Lost.

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | July 9, 2022

From today’s reading...

Then I said: ‘Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.’” Isaiah 6:5

Isaiah was worried that he would die since he saw the face of God as an unclean person, but in the next verse, God provided a painful yet effective way for him to become clean and thus be saved.

Our salvation is often a laborious, painful process done with the help of God, His angels, and His saints.

Jesus told us to pick up our crosses and follow Him.

In the military, we say, “embrace the suck.”

When times are hard, and we want to quit, we say, “it’s time for a checkup from the neck up.”

Tough times don’t last. Tough people do.

God won’t give you more than you can handle, so embrace the suck, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
