You and I are like the 8-year-old throwing a fit who decides to run away from home only to realize—after making it maybe two blocks—that it’s a big, cold, lonely world out there with lots of unknowns, dark corners, and long shadows, not to mention strange noises made by creatures we’ve never seen, let alone know how to handle.
We have it good because God made it so. But He’s not raising divas and sloths. Our surplus and our excess come with strings attached. We must...
