Jesus Ate With Sinners (Lucky You!)

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | July 2, 2021

From today’s reading...

When he heard this he replied, ‘It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. Go and learn the meaning of the words: Mercy is what pleases me, not sacrifice. And indeed I came to call not the upright, but sinners.’” Matthew 9:12-13

Do you want to do meaningful work, or do you want to be perceived as one who does meaningful work? There is a difference.

Most choose the latter. It’s the sizzle, not the steak. It’s easy. It’s fleeting. It’s artificial.

The other is work, which requires effort, toil, and struggle, much of which will happen out of the limelight, and only a few may feel your impact, but they will feel it completely: in their bones, in their heart, and their soul.

That’s the one Jesus chose. It’s the one He wants you to freely choose, which is the work you do as you...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
