Repent or Regret Your Hard Heart

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | July 12, 2022

From today’s reading...

‘Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. Still, I tell you that it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on Judgement Day than for you.’” Matthew 11:21-22

If you ask, “How could people see Jesus perform all of these miracles and still not believe in him?”

Well, let me ask you something: how can people—educated people; people with medical degrees; people who swore an oath to do no harm—see a baby on an ultrasound, hear the baby’s heartbeat, see the baby move in the mother’s belly, and refuse to admit it’s a human then gladly slaughter that baby and sell its harvested body parts to the highest bidder and then be able to sleep that night?

Our ability to justify our sins and ignore the evil and the harm we have done is astonishing.

Wake up. Open your eyes. See what you have done and repent while you still can because it’s the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
