From today’s reading...
‘You are light for the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden.’” Matthew 5:14
Jesus is on a roll in Matthew.
Now He tells us that we are light for the world.
Note that He doesn’t brag about Himself.
He could’ve said, “I am light for the world,” and He’d be correct, but He doesn’t say that.
He pulls us in and sets us up to participate in the sharing of light because we stumble and fall in the darkness.
So He’s telling us we are to shine brightly, which is the only way to help others—and ourselves—...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
