Peter and Paul Repent Then Lead

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | June 29, 2021

From today’s reading...

Then he said to him a third time, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?‘ Peter was hurt that he asked him a third time, ‘Do you love me?‘ and said, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.‘ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.’” John 21:17

Today we read from Acts 3 and see Peter with John heal the paralytic.

Then we read Paul’s account in Galatians 1 of how cruel he was to Christians before his conversion. And we conclude today’s readings on this Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles, with Jesus giving Peter three times to state his love for the Lord after denying Him three times.

God takes His persecutors and deniers and turns them into His greatest advocates, but only after they willingly repent and place their trust in God completely.

You must do the same because it’s the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
