He'll Rescue The Scattered

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | June 24, 2022

From today’s reading...

As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shall I look after my sheep. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.” Ezekiel 34:12

Today we read about shepherds and sheep in Ezekiel, Psalm 23, and Luke 15.

Ezekiel was written around 580 B.C., while Psalm 23 is thought to have been written around 1,000 B.C., and we know Luke was written in the first century A.D.

How amazing is it that without the internet or hard drives or cloud storage, three men could write a connected narrative spanning nearly 1,100 years that has survived enslavements, slaughters, famines, droughts, wars, and occupations?

God is always on the lookout for us.

All we must do is stay near Him and follow His voice should we stray and find ourselves lost, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
