From today’s reading...
But Jehosheba, daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, surreptitiously rescued Jehoash son of Ahaziah from among the princes who were to be murdered, and put him with his nurse in the sleeping quarters; in this way she hid him from Athaliah, and he was not killed.” 2 Kings 11:2
Jehosheba is what you call good people.
She knew right from wrong and was willing to disobey the leaders of her time to do what was right.
Because of her actions, eventually the true heir was crowned king, “all the people of the country were delighted” (v20a), “And Athaliah was put to death inside the palace” (v20b).
Today, powerful people call for the death of innocent people, be it drone strikes, forced injections of experimental drugs, abortion, and normalizing deviant behavior instead of providing counseling and therapy for young, confused, innocent young children.
Speak up.
Take action.
Protect those innocent people from being slaughtered by selfish, power-hungry people.
