Accept His Grace and Get To Work

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | June 14, 2021

From today’s reading...

As his fellow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing. ...in pain yet always full of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owning everything.” 2 Corinthians 6:1, 10

Paul is greeting us and reminding us that we are “fellow workers,” not fellow trolls or moochers or whiners or even fellow complainers.

We are not fellow pontificators, ponderers, manipulators, or even victims.

We are to work.

Paul refers “to our work of service” and “in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God” (v4).

And we do this not on a tropical island or 5-star resort.

Instead, we take the good from the bad. We turn the bad into good. In other words, Paul encourages us to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
