From today’s reading...
As it is, to this day, whenever Moses is read, their hearts are covered with a veil, and this veil will not be taken away till they turn to the Lord. Now this Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:15-17
Moses had a tough job. The Israelites were a stiff-necked people (Exodus 32:9).
They wanted rules.
They wanted a king.
They wanted “three hots and a cot” in captivity more than they wanted freedom. (Some things never change.)
But God wants us to be free.
So much so, He sent His only Son to show us how to take on the challenges and burdens and sufferings of life willingly.
He sent His only Son to show us how to live for others and how to die for others.
Because living and dying in love is the only way to be free and...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
