From today’s reading...
So Jesus spoke to them again: In all truth I tell you, I am the gate of the sheepfold.” John 10:7
In the opening of the tenth chapter of John, we see Jesus telling another parable, but the people do not understand the deeper meaning, “So Jesus spoke to them again.”
When people are confused, Jesus explains Himself.
When people are merely made uncomfortable by His message, He does not soften or adjust His message. (See John 6.)
His message today is simple: He is the way. He created one path.
He created one Church.
He gives us our daily bread through that one Church, which is the “pillar and foundation of Truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).
So get into the Church. Get right with Jesus via the Church because He gave us the Church as the only means to...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
