Stand and Serve God In His Sanctuary

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 8, 2022

From today’s reading...

That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary; and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind will never plague them,…” Revelation 7:15-16

We love to heap praise upon our public servants.

We speak of them as being better than the rest of humanity who merely work to make money, be they politicians (Ha!), police, firefighters, or teachers.

We interrupt the conversation the instant we discover someone is a veteran to thank them for their service.

Serving is the most honorable, most selfless, most giving, most loving thing someone can do in society today, at least, according to the media and those who want to shape the conversation.

Still, somehow, those same shallow, manipulative people want to shame you for wanting to serve God, in His house, for all eternity.

Meanwhile, documentaries and exposes are done on chefs and literal servants who have worked in the White House for decades, highlighting what an honor it has been for them to serve presidents, heads of state, and other dignitaries.

The ultimate honor is being tested and found worthy by our Creator of serving Him.

Seek to serve Him because it’s the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
