Mind The Macedonian Message

From today’s reading...

One night Paul had a vision: a Macedonian appeared and kept urging him in these words, ‘Come across to Macedonia and help us.’ Once he had seen this vision we lost no time in arranging a passage to Macedonia, convinced that God had called us to bring them the good news.” Acts 16:9-10

When God knocks you off a horse, blinds you for three days, speaks loud enough for everyone to hear, then fulfills a prophecy He tells you, you’d probably be quite receptive to future visions, dreams, and signs, too.

But more times than not, we see God appearing in a whisper, a dream, a nudge.

God is subtle. He prefers to whisper to make us focus, but He’s not opposed to sending fire and floods, earthquakes and snakes, or flashes of lightning and wind storms to wake you and me up.

To avoid calamities, give yourself some quiet time to listen, hear, and heed the word and the will of God because it’s the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
