God Cares For You In The Desert

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 4, 2023

From today’s reading...

‘The God of our nation Israel chose our ancestors and made our people great when they were living in Egypt, a land not their own; then by divine power he led them out and for about forty years took care of them in the desert.’” Acts 13:17-18

When you find yourself somewhere you do not want to be, blossom anyway. It’s easy and expected and understandable to wring your hands and cry in your beer when things don’t go your way.

But despite what most major universities teach as they pilfer their privileged, sheltered, impressionable students, there are no safe spaces in life other than what you carve out and protect for yourself.

The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for over 400 years, yet they still complained and yearned for the “safety” and “security” of their slave days because they were fed better than their time of freedom in the desert.

Keep in mind that many of those soft, triggered Israelites were killed by the serpents God sent to punish them for their lack of faith.

Serpents are everywhere in life, but so is water and soil and sunlight and everything you need to bloom where you’re planted, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
