Follow The Traditions They Died To Pass On

The tradition I handed on to you in the first place, a tradition which I had myself received, was that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures,…” 1 Corinthians 15:3

Ah, yes.

The power and importance and instructional and institutional value of tradition and Tradition.

Before Paul wrote today’s letter to the Corinthians, he first spent time with them in person and led by example.

Only after he left and was imprisoned and knew he would not see them again in person did he take the time to document what he first taught orally and lived out loud.

Know the history and traditions of your country.

Sir Winston Churchill, two-time prime minister of the United Kingdom and one of only eight to receive honorary U.S. citizenship, wisely said, “A nation that forgets its past has no future.”
