Paul Appealed To Caesar

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 26, 2023

From today’s reading...

‘But Paul put in an appeal for his case to be reserved for the judgement of the emperor, so I ordered him to be remanded until I could send him to Caesar.’” Acts 25:21

As you watch our politicians and their handlers jockey for positions of late, you’ll notice a heck of a lot of lawsuits and a lot of settlements in cases where you’d think the settling party would and should put up a fight.

The reason they often settle is that they have some dirty little secret they know will come out in discovery, so they pay up to make their opponent shut up.

However, sometimes the suing party does not settle because their entire reason for suing over complaint A is to get issue B out in the open.

This is what Paul did to the Jewish and Roman rulers of his day.

Paul knew the Sadducees and Pharisees were petty, vindictive, and in love with their titles and the trappings of their positions, so he leveraged his knowledge of Roman law and worked the system to his advantage to fight the conniving Jewish leaders to get to Rome, where he could spread the Good News in and from the belly of the beast.

Remember, the pigs inside your organization can and will destroy you faster than the sharks circling your organization, so...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
