The sad/ironic/interesting thing is that Luther had many valid points, which the Catholic Church addressed and implemented by the time they convened the Council of Trent in 1545, a year before his death, but due to his own pride and vanity, he died as an excommunicated monk who became the catalyst for thousands of more disputes than we see in Acts 23 today.
