Fill All Things In Every Way

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 21, 2020

From today’s reading...

And he put all things beneath his feet
and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body,
the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.” Ephesians 1:22-23

People who struggle with God, the Pope, dogma, and “organized religion” ultimately have an issue with authority and even organization, at least they don’t want the things they dislike or don’t understand to be organized.

They’re selfish. They don’t want to be told what to do. They want to “live their best life,” which means anything goes. There are no repercussions, no consequences , no responsibilities. YOLO and FOMO are tattooed on their souls, maybe on their bodies, and definitely on their Facebook cover image.

But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Roads need lanes and medians and traffic signals. Organizations, cities, and nations need accepted languages, laws, and leaders. A body needs a head, and a head needs a body. They are one in the same, but they are unique in their own ways, just like the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Seeking the grace to give you the wisdom to understand this fully is why you need to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
