From today’s reading...
‘And God, who can read everyone’s heart, showed his approval of (the gentiles) by giving the Holy Spirit to them just as he had to us.’” Acts 15:8
Once again, we see Peter taking charge and leading the congregation to the Truth, which is that Jesus came for all of us.
While Jesus could’ve just snapped His fingers or wiggled His nose like Samantha on “Bewitched” to give us His Truth, He plotted a different path for us.
He came in person. He picked His close confidants. He implemented a structure with a hierarchy.
He then chose a larger support group to help spread the Good News.
He intentionally and cautiously revealed His message over time to a chosen few (thousand), but not the entire world or even the entire nation of Israel during His time on earth.
Why He chose this process, I hope to find out in heaven.
My goal, my calling, my purpose now is to do what I can to get there while helping others do the same, which means I must...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
