Wait For The Promise

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 18, 2023

From today’s reading...

While at table with them, he had told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait there for what the Father had promised. ‘It is’, he had said, ‘what you have heard me speak about: John baptised with water but, not many days from now, you are going to be baptised with the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 1:4-5

This is the ultimate example of good things coming to those who wait.

Why did God make us?

Why did God send His only Son to die for us?

Why do we have to wait thousands of years and debate, argue, and go to war over the meaning of His message?

Why are there hurricanes and cancer?

Why is satan so powerful?

Why are we so frail and weak?

I don’t know, but I know it will all be answered in due time.

Meanwhile, I must wait and pray, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
