Let Your Captors Hear You Singing

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | May 16, 2023

From today’s reading...

In the middle of the night Paul and Silas were praying and singing God's praises, while the other prisoners listened.” Acts 16:25

Thirty-eight months ago, all of you “I am the storm” people were stocking up on toilet paper and crossing the street so you wouldn’t have to get too close to your neighbors on the sidewalk and you were reporting your neighbors to any governmental dictator that would listen for the cruel and unusual crime of keeping their businesses open so they could feed their families.

If you can’t relate to Paul and Silas, maybe you can take inspiration from the poem of Judge Smails, of Caddyshack fame, before his wife, Pookie, christens their boat, The Flying Wasp,

It’s easy to grin
When your ship comes in
And you’ve got the stock market beat.
But the man worthwhile,
Is the man who can smile,
When his shorts are too tight in the seat.”

Be like Paul and Silas and Judge Smails, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
