There is evil in the world.
Even atheists inadvertently admit it when they scream “THAT’ NOT FAIR!” or “THAT’S NOT RIGHT!” (Based on what? Compared to what? Who says? What’s the source of their authority?)
And because there’s evil in the world, those who try to do the right thing will be attacked for simply…speaking, walking, procreating, loving, existing.
Don’t let it upset you or even surprise you.
Let it motivate and inspire you to “turn poison into medicine,” as Buddha recommended or, as the great Stoic, Marcus Aurelius, wrote: "Our actions may be impeded, but there can be no impeding our intentions or dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting. The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”
With God on your side, victory is certain. All you need to do is...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
