From today’s reading...
God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where you are to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shall point out to you.’” Genesis 22:2
God did not make Abraham follow through with the sacrifice of his only son, but God followed through because He will not ask of us anything He’s not willing to do Himself.
But God won’t ask you to sacrifice your child because all life is sacred from the moment of conception to natural death.
To treat life any other way is to play God, and you can’t handle that burden.
