Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil
made from genuine aromatic nard
and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair;” John 12:3
Martha fretted and served food. Mary worshipped and served praise. Both are saints.
Jesus knows your heart and appreciates your concern.
As a human, He, too, hungered and thirsted. He would sweat and bleed.
And Mary knew He would die so she anointed Him, but she also knew He was the King of Kings, so she worshipped Him.
Be like Martha and tend to those you can reach and serve.
Be like Mary and humble yourself before Jesus.
