Insulted For Having Zeal For God

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | April 5, 2023

From today’s reading...

I am estranged from my brothers, alienated from my own mother's sons; for I am eaten up with zeal for your house, and insults directed against you fall on me.” Psalm 69:8-9

People today clutch their pearls and declare, “OMG! How could anyone become estranged over their faith. Family is family. I love everyone, no matter what. Love is love.”

Three years ago, our self-proclaimed kind, tolerant, open-minded neighbors were fighting you so they could buy enough toilet paper to choke a whale.

A year later, those same people were wanting to take away all of your rights if they couldn’t force you to inject yourself with poison, with some even wishing a painful death for you if you didn’t bend the knee to their benevolent, tolerant demands.

If families can be torn apart by a man-made virus and fake news, is it any wonder they were torn apart 2,500 years ago over their faith?

Some things never change.

People are still weak, ignorant, and gullible.

They are easily manipulated and controlled.

Groupthink is real, as is herd mentality.

Love them anyway.

And lead  them.

Lead by your example, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
