Produce Despite Affliction

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | April 4, 2020

From today’s reading...

They looked for Jesus and said to one another
as they were in the temple area, ‘What do you think?
That he will not come to the feast?’” John 11:56

Just before this we read that Jesus departed for the city/village/wilderness of Ephraim because He knew the Jewish leaders were plotting to kill him.

Ephraim was Joseph's second son by Asenath and means “God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.” (Genesis 41:52)

Interesting, huh?

Was Jesus afflicted in His land? Of course.

Was He fruitful? Of course.

Did He show up for the feast? Ha. Could you call it a feast if He didn't?

Now we feast daily on His word, His body, and His blood, which He gave us freely to help us...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
