Members of the One, Holy, Apostolic Church were multiplying, so the members appealed to the leadership to create a middle management layer to assist with helping those in need.

Jesus knew His Church would expand. He knew it would need strong leadership.

He knew it would need structure and organization.

He knew as the years passed, it would need tradition and Tradition to give it credibility and legitimacy, giving it longevity and the ability to withstand attacks from “the gates of the underworld” (Matthew 16:18) for thousands of years and still prevail.

This foresight, wisdom, and vision to provide for the expansion of “God’s household — that is, in the Church of the living God, pillar and support of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15b) while maintaining its authority for teaching, guidance, and instruction is what gives us the strength to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
