From today’s reading...
The people unanimously welcomed the message Philip preached, because they had heard of the miracles he worked and because they saw them for themselves.” Acts 8:6
Who welcomed Philip? Samaritans, i.e., outsiders, “You know…those people.”
What pushed Philip to them? Saul’s (Paul’s) condoning of the killing of Stephen.
This is another example of how God takes a bad thing, the killing of Stephen, and uses it to bring about something good—spreading His message and converting more souls.
When was the last time your community unanimously supported anything, let alone God?
