They Were So Infuriated

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | April 20, 2023

From today’s reading...

This so infuriated them that they wanted to put them to death.” Acts 5:33

Martyrs of the Christian faith are not ancient world history. Shahbaz Bhatti was killed in Pakistan in 2011. Archbishop Oscar Romero was killed while celebrating Mass in San Salvador in March 1980. Christian de Chergé, a Trappist monk of Notre Dame de l’Atlas was killed by Islamic terrorists in May 1996 in Algeria.

In fact, more Christians were martyred in the 20th century than in all previous centuries combined, according to David B. Barrett and Todd M. Johnson, two of the world’s leading religious demographers. (Daniel Philpott, 11/122/12, American Magazine)

Heck, you could call the 86 Branch Davidians killed by Janet Reno’s FBI and ATF in 1993 martyrs, but I digress.

The point is, the devil and his minions hate the truth, and you can judge the quality of your argument and your character by the enemies that you make, and making the devil your enemy is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
