That just ain’t neighborly, now, is it?
You have a good friend that does a nice thing for you, and now everyone is jealous and wants you to die?
Surely that’s an attitude from a bygone era, right? Right?
How often do we hear of someone winning the lottery, only to declare bankruptcy in a few years and say it was the worst thing to ever happen to them in their lives?
Bad times certainly help you see who your true friends are, but so do good times.
Pride, envy, jealousy, and lust are powerful motivators.
It got Jesus killed.
It at least threatened Lazarus.
It led to the demise of Judas, and it can lead to your destruction as well if you don’t recognize it in your life and do all you can to fight it.
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
