Stand In The Fire and Pray

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | March 22, 2022

From today’s reading...

Azariah stood in the heart of the fire, praying aloud thus:” Daniel 3:25

Azariah is the new name for Abed-Nego, of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego fame, the men who refused to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue.

The fire Nebuchadnezzar built for their demise was so hot that the men carrying the faithful men of God to the furnace were burned to death.

Nevertheless, God had no problem protecting the men, as we see Azariah, in the bottom of the furnace, burning seven times hotter than usual (Daniel 3:19), calm and praying aloud to God.

When you find yourself at your lowest point, under the most pressure, amidst the hottest flames you’ve ever faced, remain calm and pray out loud to God, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
