Just Ask God

Written by Wes Schaeffer | March 10, 2022

From today’s reading...

'If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!'" Matthew 7:11

You don’t have what you want because you don’t know what you want.

You don’t know what you want because you’ve allowed the thought-leaders and influencers and celebrities and athletes and algorithms to cloud your vision and fog your brain.

You’ve living the adage, “It doesn’t matter what the truth is if you can get them asking the wrong questions.”

Use these 40 days of Lent to pare down and step up.

Cut the clutter and the crap.

Quiet the noise and the distractions.

Step up to a bigger vision.

Find the signal in the noise.

That signal is God’s voice calling out to you.

Ask Him—not the universe or your vibrational music bowl or your chakra or your vegan artisanal dish made from pink Himalayan salt and shade-grown, free-trade, non-GMO kale or your tarot card reader or your medium or your favorite drag queen story hour library twerking instructor—what you need. Ask Him for what you really want.

When you find God’s signal in the noise of the world, you’ll want what He wants for you, which is why He’ll give you what you want when you ask with a clear conscience and a pure heart.

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
