Renounce Your Evil Ways

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | March 1, 2023

From today’s reading...

All must put on sackcloth and call on God with all their might; and let everyone renounce his evil ways and violent behaviour.” Jonah 3:8

Those were the instructions of the king of Nineveh when Johan put the fear of God in him. The king’s actions saved his people.

Such is the power and impact of one good man in a position of leadership.

Yesterday on Twitter, United celebrated their all-LGBTQ+, i.e., LGBTQQIP2SAAABGBS2Cis3CCOFFTM/MTFGEGIGH2IOTMTW+8th-Gender-Alien+WTF+FJB, crew for their pride partnership with Virgin Australia. Their Tweet is being ratioed at over 3:1, which is encouraging to see.

Rather than celebrating competency and traditional Judeo-Christian values, the go-with-the-flow executives at United—I refuse to call them leaders—instead chose to highlight and reward one’s sexual proclivities and depravities as the main criteria for selecting the crew that would conduct this San Francisco-Sydney flight.

Now they’re being punished because actions have consequences.

As we start the second week of Lent, strive to live by the example of the king of Nineveh instead of the fad-followers at United, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
