Remove Avarice From Your Life

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | February 3, 2023

From today’s reading...

Put avarice out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I shall not fail you or desert you,…” Hebrews 13:5

Avarice is defined as extreme greed for wealth or material gain.

It’s fine and even admirable to strive to better your life and those around you.

This is not a verse you can pick and use as your excuse to Netflix and chill: “Yo, dude, like slow your roll, man. The Bible says to not be all filled up with avarice. You’re just a money-grubbing jerk, man. Here, take a hit of this and stop working so hard, man.”

You can be content with what you have and still strive to improve your lot in life.

Searching for a better way to do something does not mean you are discontent.

Artists paint.

Writers write.

Mothers nurture.

Fathers provide.

Entrepreneurs create.

So get up and get to work, but do so with joy and contentment, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
