From today’s reading...
If you refrain from breaking the Sabbath, from taking your own pleasure on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath ‘Delightful’, and the day sacred to Yahweh ‘Honourable’, if you honour it by abstaining from travel, from seeking your own pleasure and from too much talk, then you will find true happiness in Yahweh, and I shall lead you in triumph over the heights of the land. I shall feed you on the heritage of your father Jacob, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.” Isaiah 58:13-14
We were put on this earth for love, labor, and leisure, but we mess it all up.
Many are literally looking for love in all the wrong places.
Many think they need to “hustle and grind” until they “arrive.” (But they can’t define what that means.)
While many think life is all about ordering Uber Eats, binging Netflix, and hitting the gym…after a good nap, of course.
We need everything in moderation, which is why God led by example by taking off on the Sabbath.
Learn from God.
Emulate Him.
Rest on the Sabbath and honor Him, which is the only way to...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
