Be Quick, Slow, Slow.

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | February 19, 2020

From today’s reading...

Know this, my dear brothers and sisters:
everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger
for anger does not accomplish
the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20

In other words, you have two ears and one mouth, use them proportionately.

And don't say something online that you wouldn't say to someone's face.

A lot of you talk online like you've never been punched in the face, and it shows.

Chill out a bit.

Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves." James 1:22
...If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue
but deceives his heart, his religion is vain." James 1:26

You don't have to engage in every online duel nor must you correct every injustice you run across.

Clean your room. Clean your home. Love your family. Love your neighbor. Help the shut-in, the lonely, the sick in your hometown because looking your neighbor in the eye and letting them know they are seen, heard, understood, and loved is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
