Behold the power of the spoken word.
They say that “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” but tell that to Adriana Kuch, the 14-year-old New Jersey girl who killed herself on February 3rd as a result of intense bullying from her classmates who had filmed their physical assault on her the day before.
Words mean things.
We can and do speak worlds and universes into existence.
We can and do speak actions into existence, which Henry Ford knew a century ago: “The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can’t are both right. Which one are you?”
(Far too often, the actions we think into existence are comprised of sleeping in, scrolling social media, and binging shows while eating junk food.)
Ian Fleming, Tom Clancy, and Jack Carr have spoken worlds into existence.
William Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, and C.S. Lewis have done the same.
So did God, who, as always, leads by example.
Speak truth so that the good and right and proper worlds are spoken into existence in and around you, which is the only way to...
