From today’s reading...
For thus says Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens -- he is God, who shaped the earth and made it, who set it firm; he did not create it to be chaos, he formed it to be lived in: I am Yahweh, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:18
God does not create chaos or pain or sin or harm.
Because He loves us, He gives us free will, which we abuse and misuse.
“Oh yeah, Wes? Are you saying that my judgmental, snarky attack on your writing creates hurricanes and earthquakes…and Alabama fans?”
I have no idea where Alabama fans come from, so I’ll have to pass on that, but when we fell from God’s grace and took our utopian circumstances for granted, God simply allowed the laws of physics to do their thing, and it’s up to us to decide how we react and respond when bad things happen to good people.
God has not changed.
The heavens are still there for us to live in, but the only way we can get there is to...
