Always Be Joyful

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | December 12, 2021

From today’s reading...

Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful. Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near.” Philippians 4:4-5

Some of you self-proclaimed “good Christians” with a “strong faith” should tell your faces what you believe because a lot of you are walking around like someone licked all the red off of your candy canes.

Look, I get it that life may be kicking you in the shins right now, but that’s no excuse to lose love, to allow your faith to falter, or your joy to be joggled.

The only thing worse than a fair-weather fan is a fair-weather Christian. (Jesus says He will “spit you out of my mouth” “since you are neither hot nor cold, but only lukewarm” (Revelation 3:16)).

It’s Christmas.

You’re a Christian.

Jesus loves you, so you have plenty of reasons to be filled with joy.

Always be joyful in Him, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
