Be Patient Until The Lord's Coming

Written by Wes Schaeffer | December 11, 2022

From today’s reading...

Now be patient, brothers, until the Lord's coming. Think of a farmer: how patiently he waits for the precious fruit of the ground until it has had the autumn rains and the spring rains!” James 5:7

Daily I see people post, “We’re living in the end times.”

Ha.

It’s usually because Starbucks took an extra three minutes to prepare their $12 drink, AND they wrote “Hailey” on their cup instead of “Hailleeyyy.”

You hear the word “privilege” thrown around by people who clearly have no understanding or knowledge of history.

We’re so privileged that staying in a hotel without room service feels like “we’re living in the Middle Ages!”

We’re so privileged that when Amazon only offers 2-day service instead of same-day delivery, we proclaim, “What’s the world coming to?”

We’re so accustomed to instant gratification that we spend thousands on pills and surgeries to  achieve a certain look overnight rather than be disciplined—and inconvenienced—enough to make exercise, eating right, and resting a way of life.

Despite the hardships you may be enduring currently, we live in wonderful times.

The Lord will return, but on His timeframe, not ours, so count your blessings today, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
