From today’s reading...
‘Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.’” Matthew 7:24
In verse 24, Jesus calls you a "stupid man" or a "fool" for proclaiming His Word but not acting on them.
In other words, talk is cheap. “No, Wes!! John 3:16 and Romans 10:9 and REALLY Ephesians 2:8-9!!!! And others.”
Lookit, you’re not saying no to me. You’re saying no to Jesus. You’re saying you don’t know His word, the meaning of His words, His heart, His will.
In James 2:20, we see those who do not perform good deeds referred to as “fools” or “ignoramus,” in alignment with the words of Jesus today.
